Name: Ky Abhorsen (I just read Sabriel and that’s one of the best books EVA! CHAAAAAAA!!!!!! 8DDDDDDDDDDDDD Actually I finished it on Wednesday and typed this description up on Wednesday!)
Pronounced: Like the ky in sky.
Age: Around 15 or 16
Learned Powers: Charter Magic and she is a necromancer, except instead of raising the dead, she puts them back to rest. Though she can raise the dead if she wants to. For charter magic she thinks of the charter symbol, and imagine it and then she can do whatever she wants to with it. (She can open doors, cast spells, make light, heal, ect.) But for wind summons using charter magic she has to do a series of whistles. And she can’t be distracted while she thinks of the charter symbol. She has to put her will into it. She can also cross into death, cause she’s a necromancer! There’s Nine Gates in all. And there’s a river that runs through them all. The river carries the spirits to the Ninth Gate, which is the final gate where they will be in death forever. Sometimes the spirits of the dead come back to life and inhabit a newly dead body or a live one, and it’s Ky’s job to make the dead go back to death. She can walk through the gates by reciting some Free Magic spells, but that’s in death. When she goes into death, her body slowly becomes cold to the touch, her skin become paler, and icicles and frost can appear. In death her spirit is walking in the river. It’s really cold there, but she can will herself to forget about the coldness. She has to step around hidden holes, and other things and be careful about the currant and stuff for she can easily be swept away. She can encounter dead creatures, and also Free Magic creatures in Death, so she also has to be careful. She has some bells, and a special sword that has been passed down in the Abhorsen family since the very first Abhorsen. (The sword was past down in the family since the very first Abhorsen, not the bells! (All Abhorsen were good, as in good and evil, necromancers. The evil necromancers are the ones who raise the dead. The good put them to rest.) She can take the sword and the bell with her in death if she carries one in each hand. (I based practically all of this of Sabriel if not all of it! So this is copywrited by Garth Nix! Except with a few adjustments made by moi!)
Weapons: On her sword there are charter symbols etched along it’s blade, a dull emerald in the pommel, and a worn bronze-plated cross-guard. (No clue what that is! =P A hilt maybe? ) She also has a silver ring with a ruby in it on her index finger on her right hand. The ring has charter marks engraved on it. It is also a magical weapon. A leather bandolier was an old brown belt a hand’s-breadth wide, which always smelled faintly of beeswax. Seven tubular leather pouches hang from it, starting with one the size of a small pill bottle; growing larger, till the seventh (and the heaviest) was the size of a jar. The bandolier was designed to be worn like a belt with the pouches hanging down. Each pouch in this bandolier contains a silver bell with a dark, deeply polished mahogany handle. There are charted marks engraved on the bell, and handle. Each bell has it’s own purpose.
Ranna- The first and smallest bell. Ranna the sleepbringer, the sweet low sound that brought silence in its wake.
Mosrael- The second bell, a harsh rowdy bell. Mosrael was the waker, the bell Ky should never use while going into death, the bell whose sound was a seesaw, throwing the ringer further into Death, as it brought the listener into Life.
Kibeth- Kibeth, the walker. A bell of several sounds, a difficult and contrary bell. It could give freedom of movement to one of the dead, or walk them through the next gate. Many a necromancer had stumbled with Kibeth and walked where they would not.
Dyrim- A musical bell, of clear and pretty tone. Dyrim was the voice that the Dead so often lost. But Dyrim could also hold a tongue that moved too freely.
Belgaer- Another tricksome bell, that sought to ring of it’s own accord. Belgaer was the thinking bell, the bell most necromancers scorned to use. It could restore independent thought, memory and all the patterns of a living person. Or, slipping in a careless hand, erase them.
Saraneth- The deepest, lowest bell. The sound of strength. Saraneth was the binder, the bell that shackled the Dead to the wielder’s will.
Astarael- And last, the largest bell, Astarael, the Sorrowful. Astarael was the banisher, the final bell. Properly rung, it cast everyone who heard it far into Death. Everyone including the ringer. (They have to think of life, and cling to it with all of their strength/might, and they won’t be sent into death. If you’re near death, and severely wounded, you’ll be cast into death. So if Ky has to ring this bell, she will tell everyone what he or she has to do.)
Powers: Unknown
Weakness: Broken Charter Stones. When a Charter Stone is broken, it creates a portal for the Dead to be able to walk among the Living, and it weakens a Charter Mages, and Necromancers.
Appearance: Her eyes are a greenish blue. She also has a Charter Mark on her forehead that can glow when she uses Charter Magic. I have no clue what the Charter Mark should look like so if I think of it I’ll post it! How about the crown like thing she wears on her forehead hides the Charter Mark? Yeah her Charter Mark is hidden behind the crown-like thing she wears! n__n

Species: A Free Magic creature imprisioned A LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNGGGGG time ago by one of the Abhorsen's. She has to have the 'Blood Repaid' if she's free so basically she'd have to kill Ky, since Ky is the last Abhorsen at the moment. The thing imprisoning her is what looks like a red leather collar, but there are Charter Mark's in it. Only Charter Mages and Necromancers can see it and they can feel that the collar is of some ancient magic.
Appearance: Rai looks like the ferret with Ky in the above piccys except Rai has a red leather collar around her neck. She can also talk, and is usally nice, though when her collar is taken off she goes into her true form and goes all evil, and has to get the "Blood Repaid".
